Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated.
Inspired by generations of living close to the land in the Karoo, we combine medical-grade lanolin, carefully chosen botanical ingredients and proven science to create honest skincare for everybody, every day.

Where Our Story Began
Derived from the Khoisan word meaning “land of thirst,” the Karoo is a place of vast open spaces, extraordinary beauty and remarkable resilience. While the landscape may appear harsh, it is home to plants, animals and people that have adapted and flourished for generations.
Nestled within this landscape lies Kruidfontein Farm, home to the Stegmann family for more than 150 years. Since the early 1870s, six generations have farmed Merino sheep on this land, producing some of South Africa’s finest wool while developing a deep respect for the wisdom of nature.
Lanolin was simply part of everyday life.
During shearing season, after days spent classing wool, our father’s hands would become remarkably soft from the natural lanolin in the fleece – so soft that even tiny thorns could pierce his fingertips. Our mother would often point it out, believing that if lanolin could care for hardworking hands exposed to the demanding Karoo climate, it could care for countless others too.
That simple observation inspired everything that followed.
